University Studies Grants is a grant pro­gram targeting accredited higher-education institutions worldwide with the aim to pro­mote and sup­port the devel­op­ment and launch­ing of out­stand­ing uni­ver­sity courses or degree pro­grams that deal with spe­cific phe­nom­ena explic­itly related to the Visegrad Group (V4) coun­tries.

The grant is intended as a lump-sum, multiple-installment grant awarded to uni­ver­sity depart­ments, schools or fac­ul­ties, which can present the course’s/program’s thor­ough syllabus/curriculum and con­firm its planned long-term enroll­ment. The sup­ported sums depend on the scope and qual­ity of each project; on average the grants amount to ca. €10,000 per course and €40,000 per degree program.

Any accredited pub­lic or pri­vate uni­ver­sity worldwide is eli­gi­ble for the grant. There are no limits as to the language of instruction of the given course or degree program; each course/program must, however, secure for each semes­ter of its enroll­ment at least two/three rel­e­vant guest lec­tur­ers from two different V4 coun­tries.

The program’s annual budget is €280,000.
